Our client is a leading logistics company and they are looking for an transport admin assistant to join their transport office based in Wetherby.
The role involves;
- Supporting the admin team
- Fielding inbound calls from both drivers and customer services and supporting with getting a quick and positive resolution to the query
- Supporting with the debrief of drivers
- Filing
- Data collation
- Briefing out communications to drivers
- Booking hotels for drivers
- Supporting with issues with the drivers scanners
- Daily manifesting of drivers scanners
- Supporting with raising collection requests
- Eventually cross training to offer support and cover to planning
Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 09:00 till 17:00 with flexibility required to support with holiday and sickness cover.
You will ideally have at least 2 years experience of admin work and previous transport admin experience is essential.
You will need to be IT literate and have a confident telephone manner.
Pay starts between £10 and £11 per hour, depending on experience.
This is a temp to perm position, with a permanent contract offered after 12 weeks. Once permanent the starting salary on offer is £23,000.00 per annum, with 22 holidays per year plus bank holidays, with some holiday having to be kept to use when the site closes down for 2 weeks over Christmas.
