We are currently seeking a reliable, hard-working Yard Operative to join our existing Events team based in our Longcroft (Denny) Depot.

This is a hands-on role and, while working as part of the depot-based operations team, you will be responsible for all asset preparation including loading vehicles (where appropriate) and completing any supporting paperwork, which will result in an asset that is fit for hire and is aligned to LOC Hire standards. You will carry out your duties which may include plumbing and electrical tasks whilst adhering to and helping to achieve our HSE initiatives. All activities are to be undertaken in a safe and professional manner.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Prepare sanitary, cabins and trailer units for hire
- Pressure/ steam clean all accommodation and sanitary units
- Remedy any minor repairs to hire stock
- Identifying damage to the relevant personal at head office where appropriate
- Maintain Records of any works completed
- Vehicle loading

**Skills/Knowledge**:

- Ability to work on own initiative
- Planning and organising
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the job (prolonged physical exertions, including lifting, pushing, pulling and climbing) and to work in all weather conditions
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays
- Good written and verbal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Must have at least a valid driver’s license - B+E preferable
- Forklift ticket (8.5 tonne or over) preferable
- Plumbing knowledge preferable (pipework and water pumps)
- Electric knowledge preferable (Fault location, diagnosis and rectification to hire fleet. Performing electrical tests)
- Mechanical basic knowledge preferable (Inspect trailers to identify any mechanical or electrical issues)
