Conveyancing Assistant
Bradford
£20,000 - £23,000 DOE
My client a known law firm based in Bradford are looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their Conveyancing department. This role requires an extremely organised individual who can hit the ground running to join their busy team.
Main Responsibilities:
- To act as a point of contact between the clients in the absence of, or at the request of, the fee earners; taking telephone calls, making appointments, conveying messages and assisting with simple queries of a factual nature.
- Ensuring that all documents and files are kept in an orderly manner and in accordance with such procedures as are in place within the Company.
- Supporting a conveyancer to achieve conversion and customer service targets.
- Chasing various information such as searches, ID and Mortgage Offers.
- Chasing solicitors and other third parties for updates and replies to enquiries.
- Preparing documents such as Certificates of Title, post exchange letters and documents to be sent with the Property Report.
- Chase monies from lender, customers etc.
- Dealing with completions.
- Exchanging contracts.
- Inputting data such as redemption figures.
- Preparing, sending and checking legal documents.
- Provide cover for Reception/Telephonist as required.
- Undertake all tasks consistent with a legal secretarial role eg scanning, photocopying, sending and receiving facsimiles
**Salary**: £23,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
