**The Role**:_
- Make sure there is a system in place for a structured maintenance program of all machinery, systems and utilities.
- Team Performance Management and Development.
- Installation, repair and upkeep of all electrical and mechanical production equipment
- Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are followed and completed.
- Provision of technical support and general maintenance of the site.
- Support in identifying process improvement.
- Carry out all other mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Assisting in the general upkeep and repair of the factory facility.
- To ensure continuous operation of all factory utility systems.
- Ensure that company policies & procedures and health & safety practices are followed.
- To ensure all systems are operating in a safe and efficient manner as designed.
- To plan coordinate and monitor workplace activities for Maintenance engineers and apprentices where applicable.
- To ensure the training and development program for Maintenance engineers and apprentices is implemented effectively.
- Manage and control departmental expenditure and costs.
- Weekly reporting on team KPIs, current projects highlighting key issues to Engineering Manager.
- **Essential Criteria**_
- Qualified and certified as a maintenance engineer, either mechanical or electrical preferably both
- Have at least 3 year’s maintenance experience working within a fast paced manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
- Minimum of at least one year experience at Maintenance Supervisory / Management level
- Demonstrable experience in problem-solving and fault diagnostics at a high level.
- Experience in developing a team in terms of skills and competence with the ability to lead, motivate and manage performance of a core team
- Focussed team player, good listener with the ability to talk to people of differing levels of technical expertise.
- Target and KPI focused with strong attention to detail coupled with excellent organisation skills.
- Working to deadlines and tight time schedules is of up-most importance, as is the need to be accurate and confident in the completing of all given tasks.
