Job Title: Principal Procurement Professional

**Salary**: £48000 + Benefits
What you’ll be doing:
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the service provision
- Support subcontract activities in conjunction with Commercial, project and technical teams for ongoing through-life or in-contract delivery, ensuring that critical supplier relationships are cultivated, developed, and maintained to allow the business to fully meet customer current and future needs
- Support implementation and enhancement of Project Category Plan
- Demonstrate a good understanding of Company systems, risk and supplier management tools
- Support Business Partner to influence internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure Procurement service provision
- Implement and utilise all available tools and techniques, including relevant and applicable KPI’s to ensure effective monitoring of supplier performance and leading any associated improvement plans/good practice share
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategy, governance and innovative change programmes, ensuring consistency and effective improvement in procurement services, embedding a culture of continuous improvement and the sharing of best practices.
- Support activities to maximise contract effectiveness; identifies and records value contribution/ savings
- Enables open communication with suppliers to encourage collaboration and innovation where appropriate
- May have responsibility for leading an area of activity on behalf of the wider team
Your skills and experiences:
- Likely to have 5 years’ experience working within a procurement and/or similar environment
- Possess a high standard of Procurement competence in key areas of sourcing, process knowledge, contracting skills and supplier management
- Ability to translate complex procurement guidance into simple, straightforward and practical advice
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Excellent cross functional stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrate exemplary business acumen.
- A proven record of delivering value for money, commercially astute with excellent negotiation and influencing skills

The Procurement and Supply Chain team:
In this role, you will work as a valuable member of the procurement and supply chain team, utilizing your expertise to provide essential procurement services and support that align with the operational requirements of the business. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to showcase your leadership skills by either overseeing a team of procurement professionals or taking charge of strategically significant or highly complex procurement packages or suppliers. Your responsibilities will revolve around driving effective procurement solutions, necessitating meticulous planning, efficient delivery, and the implementation of appropriate interventions to contribute to the achievement of the organization’s objectives.
