This high-profile Central Government Organisation is recruiting for an experienced Head of Integrated Design & Delivery
**Qualifications**
Recognised qualifications in the fields of design and delivery
**Experience**
- Experience of senior leadership within a complex change portfolio
- Experience of influencing, negotiating with, and providing challenge to board-level stakeholders
- Experience of working effectively with risk within a complex change portfolio
- Experience of creating and managing commercial relationships in a complex supply chain, assuring quality and delivering value for money
- Experience of building and leading transformation teams in a large and complex organisation
- Experience of leading business design activities across a large scale portfolio of change programmes
- Experience of providing technical expertise across business design specialisms
**Transformation Directorate SLT**
- Act as the guardian of the blueprint on behalf of the board; providing insights and assurance to the board, minimising risk and ensuring coherence and common standards
- Be a centre of transformation expertise for the Organisation; supporting the programmes and projects within the portfolio to deliver change, to optimise the realisation of benefits and meet the strategic objectives through effective programme and projectmanagement guidance and best practice principles
**Job Purpose**
- To develop and lead a world class business design function, contributing to the Organisation’s vision to build a sustainable in-house transformation capability
- To manage the integrated design and delivery function, overseeing business analysis, design and insights to ensure the Organisation is at the cutting edge of policing trends and innovation and remains responsive, relevant and aligned to future demand
**Key Responsibilities**
- Champion and implement integrated business design across the Organisation, supporting the vision to attain a world-class transformation capability
- Ensure that there is effective provision of hands on support and guidance to the programmes and projects in relation to business design, ensuring consistency of approach, and creation of frameworks, methodologies and processes
- Own and champion the blueprint on behalf of the management board, keeping it live and relevant, proactively identifying changes in policing trends and opportunities for innovation
- Ensure that business design remains at the cutting edge of the latest developments in the sector and the business world, and capture lessons learnt to inform future ways of working
- Act as the ‘custodian of design throughout the lifecycle,’ be accountable for setting and assuring technical and business design standards across the Organisation, as well as the creation and promotion of artefacts that explain how the standards will beapplied
- Ensure programmes have complete and effective business design plans and milestones and that they are aligned and sequenced across the portfolio
- Understand and communicate the implementation of the end-to-end business and technical solution
- Lead the integrated design and delivery function to help achieve the TD vision of becoming world-class
- The head of integrated design and delivery works closely day-to-day with their peers on the senior leadership team to:
