2. Job Purpose To support and enhance the professional psychological care of service users within the service. This will include: providing psychological assessment and interventions under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist working independently according to a plan agreed with a qualified psychologist and within the overall framework of the teams policies and procedures assisting in clinically related administration assisting with audits, data collection, and research projects teaching and project work. 3.

To attend regular supervision with Clinical Psychology supervisor in accordance with BPS Guidelines 4. Key Result Areas Clinical The role of the NdS Psychological Service is to work with adults who may have a range of conditions, including learning disability, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), acute and progressive neurological conditions and other complex healthcare needs. To be able to provide, (under the supervision of a qualified professional psychologist); Interventions directly to service users, couples, families and groups. Monitoring and evaluation of the effectiveness of psychological interventions in order to promote and support services which are sustainable, consistent and long-term.

To assist in the development of a psychologically based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all clients of the service, across all settings where care takes place. To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings as requested. Teaching, training and supervision To gain wider experience of clinical psychology within community neurodevelopmental services. To develop skills and competencies that assist in the delivery of current duties.

To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, though active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes as directed. Service development To assist in the design and implementation of service development projects. Research and service evaluation To assist in the design and implementation of service improvement, audit and research projects. To undertake data collection, analysis, the production of reports using appropriate software.

To undertake searches of literature and research for evidence-based treatment options to assist qualified clinical psychologists in their practice. 5. General Accountability To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and Your Healthcare policies and procedures. To undertake specific administrative duties as required.
