Clerical Supervisor - Band 4

We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to head our reception team at Charing Cross Hospital. You will need excellent communication and organisational skills and be able to work under pressure and have previous supervisory experience

Reception is the first point of contact for patients, clinicians and other health professionals and therefore you will need the skills to deal with a wide range of issues and situations. This role requires a flexible approach to work and will involve evening and weekend working within contracted hours on a rotational basis.

Charing Cross Hospital offers a comprehensive range of procedures over all modalities with both clinical and research work being undertaken. As part of the first Academic Health Science Centre, our aim is to provide world-class healthcare to our patients through excellence in research, education and training.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust comprises of five hospitals - Charing Cross, Hammersmith, St Mary’s, Queen Charlottes and Chelsea and the Western Eye Hospital - and integrating with Imperial College London, offers 50 clinical specialties and has one of the largest portfolios in the country
- The post holder will lead and facilitate the development of an efficient and high quality patient focused reception and administrative service across the Imaging Department.
- To work within the Imaging Department in a supervisory role promoting professional and courteous conduct for all A&C staff in the Imaging Department.
- To respond to and deal with a variety of often complex booking requests in a timely manner, whether by telephone or in person, ensuring that patients are booked according to clinical priority and in chronological order taking the need to ensure that appointment slots are not wasted.
