Centrica Energy Assets is looking for an agile, enthusiastic, new **Renewable Origination Specialist** to support origination activity for new renewable energy projects.

**Location**: Home based, but with travel to sites across the UK as required.

**Package**: Competitive base salary, plus healthcare, annual bonus, pension options and 25 days holiday

**The Role**
- Support the origination team to identify, qualify and progress asset investment opportunities.
- Desktop analysis of sites including sizing, layouts, yield analysis, connection options and technical qualifications
- Conduct site visits and document site reports for qualification processes and progress of opportunities into development. Review maps, sizing & yield assessments, and consider grid potential in particular projects.
- Lead the interface with marketing, and complete initial assessment of marketing derived leads, including review of grid, sizing and land/planning.
- Support the development of the relationship with landowners to build a potential pipeline
- Support the origination team’s robust methodology for prioritising & filtering opportunities
- Work within our existing governance process
- Support due diligence of sites & projects particularly in early stages
- Support origination HSE activities including the use of Dynamic Risk Assessments and feeding back HSE lessons learnt on projects
- Use of solar modelling tools such as; Helioscope, to develop initial sizing and yield estimation of sites as part of qualification process, also supporting rest of Origination and Commercial team
- Managing several key interfaces internally and externally with third party consultants


**Key Stakeholders & Working Relationships**
- Cross functional teams stakeholder management - responsible for liaising with sales, commercial, legal, engineering and construction, operations teams
- Confidence to speak directly with landowners, developers and third party consultants. Proactive nature to keep key stakeholders informed and engaged in the work of CEA

**The Person**
- Ideally around 3+ year’s experience within a commercial environment.
- Ideally experience in the renewable energy, ideally solar PV
- Have demonstrable knowledge of how renewables and batteries work and what makes good viable sites
