We are currently looking for enthusiastic, pro-active and motivated Senior Technical Services Pharmacy Assistant to support our current team of Assistants and Technicians in our Section 10 / MHRA licenced Aseptic unit / pre-pack unit. Based at Basildon / Orsett Hospital with cross site working at any of the 3 Trust Technical Services Units when required.

Due to the critical nature of our work, you will have to meet the highest standards of discipline, personal hygiene and attention to detail.

You should also have achieved GCSE English Language and Mathematics to a minimum of Grade C / 4 (or equivalent).

Previous experience within a Pharmacy aseptic unit is desirable.

Job role involves the preparation of chemotherapy and other intravenous medicines, working in isolators. Supervising of pharmacy assistants on a daily basis within the clean rooms. Working within the prepack unit at Orsett Hospital, packing, labeling and inspection checking of packed line.

Repacking of medicines in the Orsett Pre-Pack Unit for supply to clinics and wards.

Final inspection of repacked products.

Supply of internal and external orders using the pharmacy dispensing system.

Maintaining accurate records.

Preparing master production worksheets and sample labels for approval against an agreed format.

You will need to be able to work accurately, efficiently and follow procedures at all times.

Cleaning of the area is an essential part of the role.

Supervising pharmacy assistants on a daily basis

Providing support to the Technicians.
