We’re looking for a Pensions Administrator to support our employees with the operational and administrative aspects of pensions.

**Brief Description**:
**What are the key accountabilities in this role?**
- Resolve Network Rail data and administrative queries for the external administrator.
- Respond to member and internal support team queries in relation to company pension arrangements.
- Support the organisation and delivery of pre-retirement programmes.
- Calculate contributions and benefits as required for scheme members.
- Assist in the administering of Railways pension scheme and Network Rail’s defined contribution scheme pensions arrangements.
- Provide support on HR initiatives as directed.

**About the role (External)**:
**What are the essential skills and experience we’re looking for?**
- Experience in an HR generalist or payroll role.
- Understanding of Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit pensions schemes.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information and issues to non-specialists.
- Ability to manage customer expectation.

We would also like, but it’s not essential:

- Previous pensions experience.
- Appropriate pensions professional qualification.
- Experience of pension scheme administrating and calculation.
- Appreciation of pensions legislative requirements.

**About the role**

Vacancy type: Permanent Contract. This is a full-time opportunity, but flexible working patterns will be considered.

Location: The Quadrant: MK.

Band & Salary: Band 6, £21,000 - £30,000, depending upon experience.
