WHAT TEAM WILL YOU BE JOINING?

This role is in our Human Resources Team which is spread across our London, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Dubai offices and supports the business internationally. The HR Team is made up of various smaller teams including Learning and Development, Reward, Resourcing, HR Operations, HR Business Partnering and the CSR and Diversity team.

You will join the HR Business Partnering team and can expect to work cohesively with the wider HR Team, key stakeholders and partners within the business providing guidance, support and coaching.

WHAT WILL THE ROLE INVOLVE?

The role can be based in our Leeds, Manchester or Edinburgh office, with regular travel to the other UK offices, as required. The role is varied and in supporting the achievement of the firm's growth and development plans you will get involved in a number of ad hoc projects within the Central HR team on a regular basis, supporting colleagues in other locations or teams as needed.

You will be aligned to an area of the business where you will use your business partnering abilities to foster strong working relationships with the teams you work with. You will play a key role in supporting them day to day with operational HR tasks and work together to drive forward their strategic priorities.

This role includes sponsorship for the CIPD qualification training, allowing the individual to learn on the job whilst gaining a qualification.

The following list is not exhaustive but gives a flavour of some of the responsibilities of a HR Advisor.

Business Partnering

Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and employees.
Providing guidance and support as a trusted advisor.
Supporting the HR manager to develop and implement HR initiatives.

Employee Relations

Working with line/HR Managers in handling employee relations cases, providing appropriate and timely support and maintaining appropriate records, including submission of any occupational health referral or income protection forms as applicable
Providing day to day benefits information and advice as required. Being aware of the terms and conditions applicable to the various roles within the firm, and ensuring that the appropriate benefits are in place for staff in a timely manner

Resourcing

Working alongside the Resourcing team, providing support to the HR Manager in the provision of timely and cost effective and efficient resource management, including business cases, authorisation processes and supporting selection processes.
Appropriate liaison with HR Shared Services regarding staff changes and provision of management information
Supporting all new joiners from point of offer to date of commencement, assisting with inductions
