Gresham Office Furniture are seeking a talented Cabinet Maker to join their Bespoke Department in Horwich on a permanent basis. If you are committed to producing high-quality bespoke furniture and have demonstrable experience within a similar role, then we really want to hear from you

Gresham Office Furniture has been trading for over 40 years and is highly regarded as a “go-to” business for workplace furniture. The business is continuing to grow year on year, and we now work with distributors throughout Europe, the Middle East and the USA, as well as our direct client base of high-profile public and private sector clients throughout the UK.

The business has grown to have around 250 employees, but still prides itself on its family culture and its values of approachability, craftsmanship, customer focus, and integrity.

You will be responsible for manufacturing a wide range of products within the department. You will be manufacturing items such as:

- Bespoke sized units
- Specialist joinery
- Display units

**Finishes to include**:

- Veneer
- Laminate
- MFC
- Solid Timber

On a day-to-day basis, you will be working from drawings to manufacture bespoke furniture and will be required to maintain a high quality of workmanship ensuring smooth delivery of the projects from start to finish, the role will be workshop based with occasional on site work to produce templating. Some of your main duties will include:

- Reading and understanding technical drawings
- Operating wood working machinery in a safe manner
- Competent use of tools and machinery
- Flowing efficiently through the manufacturing process
- Being proactive and suggesting manufacturing technical improvements
- Producing work to the highest quality
- Working as part of a team
- Working to specific timescales
- Ability to adapt to new techniques

To be successful in this role, it is essential that you work in an accurate and effective manner. You must also have experience in high quality cabinet making or furniture making, strong communication skills, a full UK driving licence is preferred.

There is a huge potential to expand your skills and knowledge by learning new fabrication techniques and materials etc. There is opportunity for you to develop through our grading system based on your skills and experience.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £10.90-£16.45 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
