At UPU Industries we are excited to offer the new role of Warehouse Operator due to the expansion of our warehousing capabilities.

Hour of work are: Monday - Friday 08.00 to 16.30
Reporting to: Factory Manager
- **General Role**_
- To carry out a variety of activities within our newly developed storage areas.
- Working with the Factory Manager and the Commercial Manager in the the dispatching/loading/unloading of goods arriving and leaving the site.
- Working with Production Supervisors for the movement of finished goods from production to stores, and also assisting with movement of stock production items from stores to the production areas.
- **Responsibilities**_
- _Storage and Packaging _- Loading and unloading of goods upon their arrival/departure, placing the goods in their allocated store/area. Working with production supervisors at accurately recording finished goods ensuring they are scaled, weighed, labelled and stored correctly. Ensuring production items from stores are set up for each shift as per production needs.
- _Quality_ - Checking the quality of all production items delivered to site, maintain accurate stores records, carrying out weekly stocktaking duties and reporting deficiencies to the FM
- _Health and Safety _- Working in and maintaining safe working environments within the stores and production areas according to H&S guidelines.
- _Other Duties _- You may be required to carry out other duties within the stores and production areas.
- **Qualifications**_
- _Experience _- Must have held Counterbalance Forklift License for 2 years, experience working within a storage and logistics environment, working knowledge of excel.
- _Skills _- Able to work efficiently in an at times busy department, good understanding of written and spoken English.
- _Attributes _- Good attention to detail, good time keeping and reliability.
- _Health _- Applicant should be healthy and not possess any conditions which would prove hazardous when working with machinery.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £11.00-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

**Experience**:

- Forklift: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- counterbalance forklift license (required)
