Defrost Technician

**Position: Defrost Technician**

**Location: Covering Reading & Basingstoke**

**Salary:£26,688.00 per annum**

**Benefits: company pension scheme, BUPA (couple cover), 33 days holiday (including bank holidays)**

We are advertising this Defrost Technician role on behalf of our client 'City Facilities Management’. City were established in 1985 and the company has grown to become one of the world’s largest privately held, integrated FM companies.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ensure defrost schedule completed within timescale and agreed programme
- Ensure works are carried out to standards laid down by M&S
- Comply with food hygiene regulations - specifically stock rotation and temp management
- To utilise all cleaning products in line with COSHH regulations
- Administer drainage gels to laid down specification
- Undertake visual inspection of key components and advise RMTF of potential problems
- Ensure "mystery audit" by M&S is achieved
- To represent the company in a professional and competent manner at all time.
- To carry out all tasks assigned within the allotted time period to the satisfaction of the company and customer.
- To attend training courses as and where necessary to achieve statutory and business requirement.
- To comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act and the company’s Health and Safety Policy at all times.
- To work with company and other colleagues to ensure that laid-down standards of quality are maintained at all times.
- When required support other engineering disciplines to provide flexibility to service delivery.

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Retail experience preferred
- Cleaning Industry preferred
- Maintenance of the Health and Safety policy
- Client and City colleague relationships and feedback
