We manufacture a wide range of flours in some of the most technically advanced mills in the world, ensuring the highest levels of food safety and brand protection for our customers. We are looking for a new team member to join our laboratory in Maldon. This is a full-time role, reporting into the Quality Manager. The hours of work are Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30. Flexibility may be required to meet business needs.

The main responsibilities of the role include:

- Quality control checks on incoming materials and outgoing materials. Recording data and comparing results to specifications.
- Maintaining all laboratory equipment to ensure it is kept in good working order.
- Carrying out basic lab housekeeping routines to ensure all lab areas are kept clean and tidy.
- Maintaining internal and external testing schedules.
- Maintaining analysis records and quality management system documentation to meet the business and customer needs.
- Conducting internal audits of GMP and quality management system.
- Assist in preparation for 3rd party and customer audits.
- Deputise for Intake Operative and Quality Co-ordinator.
- Communicating effectively with site personnel, and where required suppliers and customers.

**Essential**
- Excellent administrative skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on own initiative and with mínimal supervision.
- IT literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.

**Desirable**
- Experience of working in a laboratory or similar environment.

Pay: From £23,000.00 per year
