**Quality Control Engineer**

**Location**: Reading

**Salary**: £23,000 - £27,000 per annum

Established for well over 28 years, the company strives to deliver the best customer experience, with a quality ‘right first time’ approach. The Senior technician QC must successfully deliver technical projects to fulfil the company’s commitments in a safe,efficient, and cost-effective manner, striving for customer satisfaction and a safety-first culture.

The QC Engineer will hold a prominent technical role within the company and should set examples of conduct and professionalism.For individual projects they will report to the assigned Project Manager, however, in time, it will be expected that they shouldaccept ownership of certain lower valued contracts.

From time to time, they may be asked to take charge of a working party and be responsible for lesser skilled employees, therefore they should be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Health & Safety issues and leadership skills.

This role will require the ability to effectively liaise with internal staff (both senior and junior) and external clients / contractors in a polite, professional, and courteous manner.

**Responsibilities
Typical duties may include:

- Produce technical reports and other documentation related to the quality assurance
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured quality control plans
- Develop quality control procedure documents
- Perform quality control checks for configurations build on SCADA & RTU as well
- Conduct SCADA Integration checks which vary project to project
- Making sure all procedures are adhered to and process through which a business seeks to ensure that product quality is maintained or improved
- Carrying out audits and providing management reports to aid quality improvements
- Be proactive, ready to work across the department

**The QC Engineer will also have the following responsibilities:**
- Ensure the safety of all JRP’s employees, it’s clients and the public
- Ensure that all Company Policies & Procedures are adhered to
- Uphold the Company’s brand name & reputation and ensure it is not damaged
- Follow the procedures as laid out within the Integrated Management Systems of the company
- Maintain company confidentiality as required

**Required Skills
- Able to organize and management time effectively
- Able to work under pressure efficiently
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Ability to work well with other teams within the company
