Sales Apprentice

We are looking to recruit a Commercial Vehicle Sales & Hire Apprentice to work as part of the sales team here at York Van Centre. This is a fabulous opportunity to join a family run business. The role is to run our day to day Hire Fleet and also support Sales, to sell New & Used Vehicles as well as to provide each and every one of our customers with consistently high levels of Customer Service. You will learn how to identify a customer's needs and interests, advise customers and promote the features & benefits of Vehicles, appraise Vehicles and negotiate Sales.

**Responsibilities are as follows**:

- Organising valeting & parking of the hire vehicles.
- Checking vehicles in and out on our Ivech hire system and insurance MID ( full training will be given)
- Digital merchandising - videos and photos for the website
- Helping with customer enquiries
- Supporting colleagues with the sales process

**Other duties may include**:

- Greeting customers, discussing their needs and advising them on the most suitable vehicle
- Arranging test drives
- Negotiating sale and trade-in prices
- Working out finance arrangements and packages, which may include organising registration plates, road tax, and delivery of vehicles
- Updating customers on the progress of orders and contacting potential customers to update them about new vehicles and deals
- Updating stock lists
- Managing advertising and updating the website
- Keeping the forecourt and cars clean and tidy
- Providing potential customers with relevant literature and information
- Inspecting vehicles pre-and post-sale

**Salary**: £17,000.00-£26,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Shipton-by-Beningbrough, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
- Customer service: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence (required)
