**AVP - Risk Modelling - Glasgow**

Change Recruitment Group are working in partnership with a leading Financial Services client in the search for an AVP to join their Risk Modelling team.

The purpose of the role is to develop and deploy a variety of credit risk models (capital/impairment/credit decision/stress testing) for core UK products: cards, unsecured loans, current accounts, mortgages and business banking/SME.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Develop credit risk models across the life cycle of various portfolios, including regulatory (capital, impairments), credit decisioning and stress testing models
- Deliver robust, predictive models and tools that are compliant with both internal and external regulations
- Identify and use cutting-edge techniques to develop best-in-class models
- Deliver high levels of accuracy and internal consistency and validation within projects
- Provide business with insights and recommendations to improve strategies and processes
- Develop high-standard Python code and model documentation

**Key skills and experience**:

- Degree or equivalent in statistics, mathematics, operations research or another quantitative discipline
- Good knowledge of data analysis and statistical modelling techniques
- Good communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Proficiency in Python and Microsoft Office
- Desirable to have knowledge and experience of credit decisioning models and forecasting/stress testing
- Knowledge or experience of credit decisioning models and forecasting/stress testing models is desirable but not essential
- Good communication, influencing and negotiating skills
- Data-driven and results-orientated mind-set
