**The role**:To support and assist in the day to day Manufacturing activities including but not limited to the operation of moulding apparatus, drying ovens, continuous furnaces and slitting machines. WIP flow management is key to ensuring the agreed priorities are achieved whilst ensuring departmental KPI’s are also met.

**What you will be doing**:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of all team members in the area at all times and highlight safety concerns immediately.
- Load and unload driers with material ensuring they have had adequate drying time before removal.
- Ensure all material to be coated is clean and free from surface dust.
- Report any non-conforming material or damage at the earliest opportunity.
- Follow priority schedule to ensure OTP targets within departmental control are met.
- Ensure all associated internal paperwork is completed and submitted daily.
- Participate in all area improvement initiatives to support the development of process efficiency.
- Carry out all area housekeeping duties ensuring all 5S tasks are completed as per schedule.

Team work is a key feature of this role to ensure the departments efficiency and productivity targets are met whilst also ensuring that the product is not damaged which due to its fragile nature can happen if not handled correctly.

**Work Activities**:

- Load and unload all furnace types using lifting aids and also manually.
- Operate vacuum and liquid-dosing systems via HMIs
- Interact with continuous production lines, ensuring maximum uptime and quality.
- Movement of all inventory to required location.
- Ensure all relevant procedures, Risk assessments and COSHH practices are adhered to.
- Carry out run checks of process equipment to ensure all parameters are within specification.
- Handle product with care due to the fragile nature and ensure product quality.
- Take required product information during process and log into system and process documentation.
- Ensure all data entry into ERP system is completed promptly.
- Assist with all department housekeeping and 5S activities.
- Participate in all Kaizen and continuous improvement activities in area.

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Counter balance FLT license.
- Overhead crane License (Advantageous)
- Able to work as part of a team and/or using own initiative.
- Motivated, organized and keen to learn new skills.
- 'Can do’ attitude.

**This position involves working shifts 4 on 4 off 2 days 2 nights with an additional 46% shift allowance. The working hours are 06.00- 18.00 and 18.00 to 06.00**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £33,185.77 per year
