**Salary**:£32,085.00

**Hours**:42 hours working 2 days & 2 nights (4 on 4 off)

Reporting directly to the Logistics FLM (Front Line Manager), the Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the effective planning of the transport operation to ensure compliance to safety and legal requirements. The role requires continual interaction with the Despatch and Vehicle Maintenance Unit (VMU) functions to ensure that all inter-company and radial delivery commitments are adhered to.

Our site is 24/7, so you'll need to be flexible to work a two day, two-night shift pattern on a 4 on 4 off basis.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Input and monitor hazard reporting, feeding back trends to Despatch FLM’s.
- Take a lead role in the delivery of workplace audits supporting the ‘Safety First’ message.
- Take ownership for allocation of tasks to the operative workforce, making the best use of company Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and labour flexibility.
- Effective time management to deliver 25% of daily activity working on tasks, 75% in supervisory capacity.
- Develop Operatives to possess the necessary knowledge, skills, attitudes, and qualifications to perform.
- Ensure agency management is first class with timesheet collation and payroll systems.
- Support the Despatch department’s order fill, cost, and efficiency KPI’s by making best use of the company WMS.
- Ensure that any service and stock issues are addressed promptly and where appropriate, escalated, as required.
- Build and develop effective relationships with other teams on site to ensure cross functional working and the optimal performance of the function is achieved.
- Cover for the FLM’s in their absence; demonstrating the ability and willingness to develop the skills and knowledge required to progress in their career.

**The Right Person**:

- Previous supervisory experience in a comparable blue chip, FMCG role is desirable
- PC literate, including a working ability with Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and Word; capable of using Warehouse Management Systems.
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Ability to build good working relationships, with employees, customers, and suppliers.
- Good supervisory skills, with a confident, open, and honest style of communicating.
- A strong customer focus, always willing to go the extra mile to deliver a good service.
- A quick thinker, capable of making effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with passion, enthusiasm, tenacity, and resilience.
