A Business Analyst is sought to work within our clients Operational Excellence Team to provide requirements gathering, business analysis, scoping, stakeholder engagement and other such project activities.
You will be assigned across one of our 3 Project Managers and will take on multiple assignments at any one time, covering small through to large scale projects. Projects can range from regulatory to process change to new implementations. You will be expectedto work across different business areas and have solid communication and planning skills.
You will be responsible for communicating with stakeholders, the project team and members of IT to gather and document requirements and ensure the technical members of the team have the information needed to deliver respective solutions for the business.
We are flexible on location for the right person but there would be some travel as and when required and an expectation to work at the nearest office.
**Responsibilities and Accountability's**
- Assist, facilitate and lead across a range of interactions from meetings, interviews and workshops.
- Liaise with stakeholders on business needs and objectives and agree scope.
- Translate business requirements into user stories.
- Create documentation and correspondence that is succinct, accurate and tailored to its audience.
- Analyse 'as-is' and 'to-be' processes to determine what changes are required.
- Confirm requirements received from the business, manage and participate in calls to deliver solutions.
- Identify business opportunities for improving processes via technology or process changes.
- Analyse and document business problems and initiatives creating recommendations and cost benefit analysis.
- Assist the stakeholders in making informed decisions through the development of business cases and gap-analysis documents. Define and document detailed functional and non-functional requirements.
- Work with solution architects to agree and propose solutions.
**Key Knowledge and Skills**
- Ability to quickly understand various internal/external business and system processes.
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Good understanding of software such as Excel, Outlook, Visio and Powerpoint.
- Ability to produce scoping/analysis type documentation and associated flow diagrams.
- Proven ability to review and edit requirements, specifications and business processes.
- Strong and progressive understanding of the business analysis discipline.
- Demonstrable ability to plan and prioritise workload within a flexible environment.
- Good understanding of the project lifecycle.
- Inquisitive thought process, ability to identify problems and improvements.
- Ability to provide innovation, value-add and fresh insight.
