Roots are an established, family run supplier of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. We offer clients a full design, supply and installation service.

**About the job**:
As a designer with Roots, you'll possess excellent/exceptional customer service skills and the ability to achieve the highest standards for clients, understand their needs and design complete room solutions. You'll be involved from start to finish with every project and you'll want to be as proud as we are of what we achieve in client's homes.

You'll be competent using computers and typical office software. We'll teach you how to use our industry-specific software for room design, pricing and presentation.

You'll work every other Saturday, getting a day off during the week. Normal working hours are 9am - 5pm (37.5hrs/week) but there will be some evening appointments. Sometimes we travel to suppliers for training which will include overnight stays and international travel.

You'll be able to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in both written form and verbally.

You'll be good at working with numbers, accuracy is vital for both pricing and room measurements.

As a small business, we all get involved in other tasks as required, such as checking in supplier deliveries, dealing with suppliers and organising the showroom.

**Qualifications and Skills**

You'll need a degree in a design related field or be able to demonstrate a strong interest in design. We'll teach you all you need to know about the products.

You'll need your own vehicle for travelling to and from customer appointments

£22,500 per annum [see note at end]

28 days holiday including national holidays

This job is based in our showroom between Faversham and Canterbury. **Salary note**
£22,500 is the starting salary if you have no experience in our industry.
This is not a commission based job.
