Precision Components Ltd are one of the world leaders in the manufacture and supply of high precision compressor rotors and we have an exciting opportunity for a CNC Turner Programmer / Operator.

Starting rate £16.55 per hour / premium rates for overtime / overtime available.

We are a well-established 150 year old business, still thriving with a very healthy order book, and can boast an excellent employee retention record with many employees having 15 yrs + service and counting.

We're looking for a time served operator with minimum three years experience of programming, setting and operating CNC turning machines using Fanuc controls.

**Job Purpose**

Part of a multi-skilled, friendly engineering team, you will be programme, set and operate CNC Turning machines producing precision components to a high specification and rigorous quality standard.

**Key responsibilities and accountabilities**:

- Set and run CNC Turning machines specifically Doosan LY - knowledge of MoriSeiki, SwedTurn & manual machines an advantage
- Preferably some knowledge of VMC/HMC
- Essential to the role is the ability to set and where necessary update programmes using Fanuc controls
- Ability to write programmes would be a strong advantage
- Must be able to read and understand technical drawings
- Inspect your own work using conventional measurement techniques, diagnose errors and correct any deviation

**Skills and attributes**:

- Proven time served CNC operator Turner with Fanuc control programming experience
- Experience of producing complex components to very tight tolerance
- Experience of operating a range of Turning machines (Doosan LY, MoriSeiki, SwedTurn) and manual machines
- Work efficiently and accurately with minimum supervision
- Keen to learn other machine operations with training
- Flexible and can work a rotating shift pattern
- Willingness to work overtime when required
- Knowledge of metal cutting techniques and Lean principles

**Salary & Benefits**:
***£16.55 per hour, premium overtime rates - overtime available

Two-week rotating shift pattern:
Week 1: Mon to Thur: 6.00 till 2.05, Fri: 6.00 till 12.00 / Week 2: 2.05 till 10.10, Fri: 12.00 till 18.00)
