**JOB TITLE: Door Staff**

**PURPOSE OF JOB**: To maintain a safe environment for both staff and customers. To ensure all customers are treated in a professional and efficient manner

**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To have your SIA licence valid at all times and displayed on your person
- To deal with customers in a courteous manner
- To remain pleasant & professional at all times
- To be aware of health & safety regulations
- To ensure under-age drinkers are not permitted onto the premises
- To ensure I.D is checked if suspicions are raised
- To ensure minimum force is used in removing unruly customers
- To change kegs when required to do so
- To have a clean/healthy personal hygiene standard
- To communicate with bar manager/supervisor any complaints, accidents or breakages.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner and not to bring the business into any disrepute whilst socialising on the premises
- To assist in any other duties that may be required by the management team

**Hours of work**: Mostly weekends/evening. WILL BE required for Saturday evening shifts

**Location of work**: Based at Laverys Bradbury Place

**Reports to**:Shift Supervisors, Duty Managers and Heads of Departments

**Essential requirements**:

- Have proof of right to work in the UK
- Have a bank account in your own name
- Be able to converse in English
- Must be of 18 years of age in order to comply with licensing law

**Person specification**:Be friendly, sociable, and welcoming to our customers to create a great atmosphere**
- Remain calm, patient, and polite if receiving customer feedback
- Be helpful and go out of your way to help customers
- Be confident and self motivated
- Demonstrate a passionate commitment to the business

- Be willing to take on extra jobs to balance the team workload
- Be able to communicate well with people of all levels
