Tungsten West is a mining development company focussed on the restarting of the world-class Hemerdon Tungsten-Tin mine located in South Devon, UK. The Company is the 100% owner of the previously producing Hemerdon mine, which is currently the 2nd largest tungsten resource in the world. With demand for strategic metals, including tungsten and tin, increasing rapidly due to their critical use in new technology, Tungsten West is focussed on meeting this demand by restarting production at Hemerdon in the next 12 months.

Join the team working on the mine re-start, being an integral member throughout the project re-build, commissioning/ramp-up and into production.

**The Role**:
Tungsten West are seeking an Environmental Advisor, reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor, the role will be focussed on supporting the implementation of the Environmental Management System to comply with the projects legal environmental requirements and company standards to uphold compliance.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work as a professional, upholding the standards of best practice at all times.
- Closely working with the Senior Environmental Advisor to ensure all legal environmental requirements are met.
- Support the management of site environmental permits.
- Complete compliance reporting for all environmental permits and planning permission requirements.
- Support communications with regulatory authorities and key external stakeholders.
- Ensure the site is being maintained to all appropriate legal environmental and planning requirements.
- Complete internal audits, report key findings and drive remedial actions.
- Support the Environmental Technician for all environmental sampling and test work programs to a high and consistent standard.
- To develop processes and procedures to deliver the objective of the environmental management system.
- Manage the investigation and reporting of environmental incidents.
- Assist with analysing and interpreting results to provide written reports as required.
- Developing and managing a dedicated database of relevant environmental performance data.
**Skills & Qualifications**:
**Essentials**:

- An environmental or related discipline degree
- Knowledge and understanding of ‘regulated facilities’ that are covered by the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 and the directives therein
- Knowledge and experience of maintaining legal compliance via the implementation of an ISO14001 environmental management system
- UK (or equivalent) driving licence
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Skills required - communication skills, attention to detail, high organisation skill.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
**Desirable**:

- Msc in environmental management or equivalent
- Previous mining / quarrying experience
- Computer literate in ArcGIS
- Project management experience
- Ecological experience
