**About the Practice/Department/Team**

Lakeside Healthcare Group, Stamford is a forward thinking, progressive organisation offering primary care services to the people of Stamford and surrounding villages. We are a large practice with a population of 31,000 patients.

**Job Introduction**

We are looking for a NVQ 2/3 qualified Healthcare Assistant to join our dynamic and friendly team who will work full-time or part-time during our network core hours which are 8 am - 8 pm Monday to Friday and 9 am - 5 pm on a Saturday on a rota basis.

The purpose of the post is to assist the GPs and nurse team in the delivery of safe, high quality primary care services to the practice population, for example providing general practice services including; audiology, phlebotomy, administering injections such as Flu and pneumonia, long term condition reviews, simple dressings, NHS Health checks etc.

**What you will do**

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
Health checks

Wound management

Basic vaccinations

ECGs

BP checks

B12 injections

Stitch and suture removal

Conducting health promotion clinics

**Essential Criteria**
- English and Maths GCE level c and above (new grade 4 and above)
- Ability to accept training, coaching and guidance (in prep for Care Certificate study
- Desire to work within care profession
- Can work to a high standard of care under supervision
- Able to provide quality care to patients in a 1:1 setting
- Good interpersonal &communication skills
- Good organisational & Time management skills
- Ability to work independently following verbal or written instructions
- Adaptable to change
- Computer literate
- Can work well within a team
- Own transport to work between different sites when and where required

**Desirable Criteria**
