Kennel Hand

We have a vacancy for a kennel hand to work in our busy boarding kennels and cattery situated in Thorrington, just outside Colchester.

Working as part of a friendly team, you will be responsible for providing a high standard of care to the dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, chickens, parrots and other small animals who board with us. At peak times you will be working as part of a team caring for around 100 animals.

Standard hours of work are **40 hours per week, 07:30-16:30** including **alternate weekends**.

Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience of animal care in a commercial or charitable setting, but full training will be given.

PLEASE NOTE: The work in the kennels is **physically demanding** and at busy times can be quite pressured.

Due to the rural location of the kennels, your **own transport is essential** as public transport options are limited. You will also need a current, full driving licence.
