An exciting opportunity has arisen for a **Welder** to join the Transport team at our Linwood site. This is a full-time, permanent role.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of a variety of plant and heavy machinery equipment.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Undertaking inspections and repairs on a large fleet of skips and boxes
- Undertaking the repair and maintenance on a variety of plant and heavy machinery equipment
- Undertaking various fabrication projects required within the operation
- Working closely with Workshop Manager, following repair plans and working independently to achieve these goals
- Meeting deadlines as required
- Compliance with company health and safety policies and guidance documentation
- Assisting workshop staff with various aspects of fleet repair and maintenance, where required

**Key requirements**:

- Full UK driving licence
- Proven experience in metal fabrication and knowledge of pipework would be advantageous.
- Strong MIG and ARC welding skills shown through weld test if required
- Must be competent in the use of oxy fuel cutting
- Ability to understand repair plans and fabricate to tolerances
- HGV licence (desirable)
- Previous experience working with plant machinery and heavy equipment (desirable)
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (desirable)
- Working knowledge of vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance requirements (desirable)

**Salary and Benefits**:

- Earn up to £11.50 per hour
- 45 hours per week
- 26 days holiday + 4 statutory days
