**Hours**: Monday to Friday variable 37.5 hours, with a 2pm finish on Friday's.
The purpose of this post is to carry out the sampling and inspection of components within the business. This post is factory based and requires strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Health and Safety Regulations.
This role is based at the facility in Andover but depending on the workload it may be necessary to work from time to time at the site in Alton.
**Following training, the key duties of the post are as follows;**
- Carry out statistical sampling and aesthetic, dimensional and functional testing of components in compliance with relevant procedures and test Methods to assure conformance to specification.
- Following inspection and testing, release components that meet specification from quarantine
- Raise non-conformances for any components that do not meet specification
- Record results and data from all inspection and testing onto appropriate documentation and/or computer databases
- Control and maintain all component reference standards in accordance with the relevant procedures and/or customer/regulatory requirements.
- Operate and maintain requisite test equipment and instruments and make minor adjustments as required
- Undertake regular routine calibration of equipment and instruments as specified in agreed schedules.
- Report any equipment failures to the Quality Control Supervisor for resolution.
- Ensure that safe working practices are followed at all times, and that walkways are kept clear of obstruction.
**Skills and Experience required**:
- Experience of component packaging testing - desired.
- Experience of working within a GMP environment - desired.
- Experience of working in a similar quality role - desired
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications - desired.
- Ability to organise workload and work proactively on own initiative.
- Flexibility - ability to react and respond positively to changes in priority and workload.
- Moderate level of literacy and numeracy required.
- Ability to use computerised information systems to input, retrieve and update all relevant data.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft PowerPoint - moderate understanding is essential.
