Production Test Team Leader

£28,000 to £32,000 per year

Our client, a subcontract electronics manufacturer, is looking for a Production Test Team Leader to join their existing team. This is a great opportunity to join a local company manufacturing electronic components that are used globally in a wide range of industries

As a Production Test Team Leader, you will be required to carry out various duties such as:

- Test and diagnose all production of PCB assemblies (this could include those released from NPI status and does not include repairs and returns) including planning and managing departmental workload
- Ensure that procedure all relevant PV and test procedures are being followed and carry out operator audits IAW PV505
- Ensure that every operator is trained for the tasks that they undertake and that this is correctly reflected in the skills matrix. Also ensure that they have the correct tools / resources to do the job efficiently, know how long it is meant to take, due delivery date etc
- To respond to any difficulties that may occur immediately and assess the situation and make a judgment as to whether the job can carry on
- To ensure that all operator queries are logged correctly (to include signature and date) and either resolved or passed on to a manager to be answered
- To give brief written status of any jobs as required
- To advise when sundries / tools etc. are needed before stock runs out
- Ensure that ALL operators, whether permanent or contractors, fill out their timesheets DAILY to reflect the work that they have done. Time sheets to be handed in on Monday am to personnel
- To attend meetings as and when are required
- To liaise with Customers if required and to show them around your section

The following experience is required:

- PCBAs and components IAW
- Understanding of IAW PV505 PV and test procedures
- Electrical Component
- Team Leading
- Problem Solving
- Training
- Stock take
- Customer service
- Good attention to detail

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 and Friday 07:30-12:30.

The annual salary is £28,000 per year, however if you have recent relevant industry experience as a Production Test Team Leader in an electronics company, you could be paid a higher salary of up to £32,000 per year.
