**Job Title**: Finance & Admin Officer

**Line Manager**: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

**Reports to**: CEO

**Hours per week**: 10 hours pw - based in Ludlow - remote working available but regular meeting face-to-face.

**Salary**: NJC scale 6 (pro rata of £27,344)

The Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial support and advice to the CEO and Trustees, to enable the organisation to operate effectively and efficiently and meet its financial obligations.

**Specific Duties**

**Finance**
- To monitor the overall finances of SSYF and report to the CEO.
- To utilise the on-line banking facility
- To pay bills and issue invoices and deal with any related queries.
- To assist the CEO to prepare SSYF’s annual expenditure budget.
- Maintain and oversee all financial records and bank accounts as required.
- To work alongside the SSYF treasurer, to prepare reports and feedback to Trustees at Board meetings.
- To assist CEO in preparing budgets for projects, monitoring expenditure and income.
- To monitor petty cash, staff and volunteer expenses and ensure safekeeping of receipts.
- To provide information to Treasurer and Accountant as required.
- To contribute to the overall aims and targets of SSYF and participate in SSYF meetings as required.

**Person Specification**
**Essential**:

- Experience of Financial administration.
- Interest in supporting work with young people.
- Experience of forming, maintaining and developing positive relationships with a range of individuals.
- Good communication skills including listening skills and the ability to give information clearly.
- The ability to work as part of a team with colleagues and take the initiative in dealing within own area of responsibility.
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Personable and approachable.
- Organised, reliable and driven.
- Be able to travel independently.

**Desirable**:

- Qualifications in accounting/finance.
- Educated to a good relevant standard.
- Budget, Bid and Report writing experience.
- Knowledge of the local community around South Shropshire
- Experience working in the voluntary and community sector.
- Self starter.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £27,344.00 per year

Expected hours: 10 per week
