**About This Position**:
Joining us as a Lecturer in Counselling, you would expect to deliver excellent and inclusive teaching and learning in the classroom, to ensure that learners are inspired to succeed and progress.

As an enthusiastic expert in your area, you would integrate appropriate and inspirational curriculum resources including ILT into lessons and plan delivery so that schemes of work and lesson plans support achievement.

Undertaking ongoing high quality formative and summative assessment of learners work both in class and through regular out of class activity to monitor progress, you would aim to ensure that learners succeed through progress reviews and initiate and respond to new curriculum developments and plan resources as appropriate.

Educated to degree level as well as holding a recognised Counselling related qualification (see Person Specification), you must have experience of successful teaching (or teaching practice for NT’s over a variety of age ranges) of Counselling or related courses and hold a **full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills** (or be currently working towards). Current experience of working as practising counsellor is essential.

The role requires an individual with the ability to deliver exceptional teaching and learning and inspire, motivate and engage learners. Capable of producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans, you should demonstrate a background of inclusive and challenging teaching strategies and of supporting students to attend by meeting their individual needs.

Please note this is a part-time post for 14.8 hours per week.
