**About the role**
Pay Details: Grade 6, £27,334 - £29,777

Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours per week

Temp - 9 Months

Main Place of Work: The Alps, Vale of Glamorgan.

Temporary Reason: To cover a member of staff on secondment

**Description**:
**About you**
**You will need**:

- Working knowledge of multi welfare benefits system and procedures (in particular Housing Benefit and Universal Credit)
- Ability to deal with vulnerable customers in a sensitive manner to create positive outcomes
- Extensive experience of working in a customer focussed environment
- Creating positive solutions in a multi agency support environment
- Ability to maximise the use of welfare benefits to increase customers income
- Ability to deal with a diverse range of customers and enquiries
- Excellent communication and mediation skills, written and verbal
- Ability to analyse complex situations and make effective decisions when problem solving
- Able to communicate complex matters to customers based on their individual needs
- 5 GCSE’s grade C or above to include Maths and English
- Ability to organise own workload
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to deliver continuous service improvement
- Ability to drive/travel throughout the Vale or between locations as appropriate
