Ride Shotgun are looking for a **Head of Finance **to manage the day-to-day operation of the finance team and help drive the business’s success by providing financial insights that lead to better commercial decisions. The role will be responsible for ensuring the business meets its financial and legal obligations. They will create and maintain best practice reporting, procedures and policies, and support the business with risk and compliance.

**What are the key responsibilities?**
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis;
- Implement and maintain effective financial policies, procedures and controls to ensure sound financial management practices;
- Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to optimise team performance and ensure the timely and accurate delivery of financial reports and analysis;
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the SMT, including financial planning, risk management and present financial reports, forecasts and analyses to SMT and the Board of Directors highlight key financial trends, risks and opportunities;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales, operations and other business functions to provide financial insights, support strategic initiatives and optimise financial performance;
- Oversee the audit process and liaise with auditors and third party advisors;
- Oversee the monthly staff payroll;
- Take a lead role in looking at current business processes and systems, implementing necessary changes;
- Actively promote solutions across the finance and operations team when a problem arises;
- Support with integrating current and future acquisitions into the finance teams processes
- Develop financial models to calculate profitability easily and quickly, so that you can then relay any findings to the board
- Oversee the preparation of of year-end financials, filing accounts with Companies house and year-end audit files’
- Oversee fixed assets management;
**What skills are required?**
- Be a qualified accountant
- Strong finance management/controller experience within the Marketing sector
- Be positive, self-motivated and a natural business partner
- Have a highly organised approach to work and the ability to work for a fast paced and complex business, whilst handling multiple tasks at any on time
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with amazing attention to detail
- Be strategic focused, always looking for new ways to improve profitability
- Exceptional interpersonal skills;
- A strong and influential people manager and motivational leaders
- Must have a full UK driving licence or be prepared to commute to others locations as required
