Rural Industry Apprenticeships Training Officer

As part of the continuing development and growth of our land-based sector apprenticeship provision at Holme Lacy College, part of Herefordshire, Ludlow & North Shropshire College (HLNSC), we are seeking to appoint to the following post;

**RURAL INDUSTRY APPRENTICESHIPS - TRAINING OFFICER (0.6)**

£30,254- £32,121 pro-rata, depending on qualifications and experience

To provide ongoing support and carry out Progress Reviews for an agreed caseload of trainees, and to engage with sector employers and businesses in the region to promote and grow Apprenticeships within the Rural Industries & Land-Based Sectors.

Progress Reviews and on-programme support will be carried out for a caseload of Level 2 and Level 3 Apprentices working in occupations such as Animal Care, Farmworker and Welding. Additional apprentice occupations may be added to the portfolio over time. Apprentices will be placed with public and private sector employers across Herefordshire and neighbouring counties.

The post-holder will be based at our Holme Lacy campus. A background in one or more of the targeted rural industry or land-based occupations would be an advantage, but not essential.

As part of the role, you will also be expected to carry out the associated organisational / administrative processes including recruitment and placement processes, quality monitoring and reporting, preparation of apprentices for End Point Assessment, and achievement claims. You will also support and participate fully in the ongoing Faculty and College activities to achieve the College’s key mission and objectives.
