**As a Butcher you will need to have**:

- MUST be able to handle beef & lamb (red meat)
- Experience in a similar role within a butcher’s shop/ butchers counter or meat factory
- Knowledge of food preparation and quality control procedures
- Pride in the quality of work of food provided.
- Preferred to have NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation & Cookery (or equivalent)

**Pay of Butcher**:

- **£12.00 to £14.00 depending on experience**

**Butcher Shifts**:

- Monday to Friday, 0800 to 1700
- Location: Slough, Colnbrook
- Duration: Ongoing

**Role of a Butcher**:

- Prepare halal meat into forms ready for cooking using a variety of actions, including boning, tying, grinding, cutting and trimming.
- Maintain and clean the meat preparation counter adhering to food safety guidelines
- Ensure that all required preparation, delivery, set-up, service and close-down responsibilities are efficiently executed.
- Perform various inventory, delivery and quality control tasks, consistently monitoring kitchen operations and cleanliness
