DESCRIPTION

We have an opportunity for a **Night Porter (casual) **to assist the Nights team in Knutsford, working 10 hour shifts as an when required.

As our **Night Porter **you will be personable and approachable. You will have the ability to build rapport with both your team and our guests and have the confidence to deal with any issues that may arise. Reporting into the Night Manager you will be instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise** **and will ensure that our high standards are consistently met.

**The Night Porter duties and key responsibilities include**:

- Ensure all guests are welcomed to the hotel and high levels of customer service are demonstrated at all times.
- Carry out room service orders and orders from the resident’s bar.
- Answer the telephones, order taxis and deal with any other enquiries.
- Perform regular hotel security walk rounds.
- Ensure the hotel and external areas remain clean and litter free
- Provide efficient, prompt, trouble free and courteous service to guests in absence of Departmental Managers and Staff during the night.
- The Night Porter will be responsible for the security of the hotel and its guests overnight and to set meetings and functions as per your managers instructions.

**Preferred Skills and Experience**
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience with Opera or other similar systems required
- Excel in customer service
