**£44,000-£46,000 + Overtime**

**Our client is a leading food manufacturing business, the site is part of a larger UK group. Due to growth, expansion and the recent investment in new production lines, they are looking for a number of shift engineers to join their team.**

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production & packaging machinery
- Ensure that all machinery & equipment is repaired efficiently to reduce downtime
- Working on automated food processing equipment, conveyors, production & packaging machinery
- Dealing with all engineering aspects across the site, refrigeration, heating, hydraulic, pneumatic, water, building services and treatment plant
- Installation and commissioning of new plant/machinery
- PLC - electrical fault finding
- Ensure that all work is carried out to health & safety, food hygiene, environmental standards
- Supervision and work allocation for contractors

**Knowledge, Skills & Experience**:

- Have completed an apprenticeship
- Strong electrical & mechanical fault finding & diagnostics skills
- Willing to learn, train and get stuck in with the team
- Ideally have experience of working in the food/FMCG sector
- IOSH Managing Safely, BRC knowledge would be desirable
- PLC - electrical fault finding skills
- Able to diagnose faults effectively, timely & efficiently
- Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working in lean manufacturing environments
- Able to work well under pressure and multi-task
- Level 2 Food Hygiene & HACCP Awareness
- Track record of delivering continuous improvement activities
