**How you'll make a difference**:
Helping clients overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes you’ll make a difference by supporting young people and adults to participate in employment and career development, learning and training.

**What will you be doing?**
- On a daily basis you’ll help clients find and access employment development opportunities making positive links with local businesses.
- Supporting clients both pre-employment and in work you will liaise with service providers and advice agencies to identify opportunities and employment pathways and provide a link with other employability programmes.
- Within this role you will undertake an initial diagnostic assessment with service users with a view to developing a personal action plan and identify suitable career development and learning programmes.
- You will maintain engagement with their clients, supporting them where to overcome barriers and, where appropriate, refer and support them into further progression opportunities and employment.
- You will be expected to provide accurate and timely uploading of information to maintain the CRM system of contacts, progression and outcomes against KPI’s for reporting and evaluation of outcomes.

**What we need from you**:

- You will hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C), or equivalent including English and Maths with an IAG/youth work/teaching qualification at L3 or above or be willing to complete further relevant training.
- You will have excellent communications skills, including the ability to engage and motivate, be persistent, assertive and challenging, negotiate effectively and offer clear.
- You’ll have experience of working with young people and an understanding of their needs and the barriers to employment they may encounter.
- You will hold a full driver’s licence and/or ability to travel to multiple venues across the area.

Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
