We are looking to offer a **Head of IT** the opportunity to join our expanding **Divisional Business System Team** based in **Castleford and Stevenage**.

**About M Group Services Plant and Fleet and your team**
With 8 depots across the UK, M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions provide innovative plant and fleet asset management solutions across M Group Services. We provide our business with more than **9,000 **vehicles and over **25,000** owned or externally hired plant assets.
Our team has grown rapidly and we are responsible for the supply and management of specialist equipment and vehicles, supplying the Water, Energy, Transport, Data and Telecommunication sectors.

**As the Head of IT, you’ll get the opportunity to**:
- Attend and represent Plant & Fleet IT in meetings with the business (Boards), Group (IT Operation Meeting) and with Clients when required.
- Review the SLAs and KPIs to ensure IT service performance continues to meet business requirements
- Conduct internal liaison / communication to keep them informed of upcoming IT changes explaining the impact to the business.
- Take responsibility for closing out customer complaints and be seen as an escalation point for IT issues
- Liaise with Directors and Senior Managers to identify business requirements interacting with the business and third parties where required.
- Manage any directly held software licenses and IT service contracts, ensuring where and when possible, these are novated to Group.
- Ensure that Asset management (hardware and software) processes are robust. That all parts of the business are engaged to reduce opportunities for loss or theft.
- Ensure that proposed solutions meet the exact needs of the business and approve change requests e.g. new site setup.
- Ensure that scheme of delegation has been followed and the correct level of approval has been given before approving orders with IT suppliers.
- Act as Line manager for Business Systems team.
**What you’ll bring**
- Degree or equivalent, professional qualification advantageous e.g. ITIL Service Management
- Excellent communication skills
- Good people management skills (experience of working within a matrix organisation essential)
- Experience of SLA management and KPI measurement
- Experience in supplier/relationship management, and dispute resolution in a commercial environment
- Understanding of IS management issues and drivers of IT strategy (experience in an IT management role a distinct advantage)
- Good financial and budgeting experience
- Ability to demonstrate successful delivery of projects into large organisation
