**A Kitchen Assistant - 24 hours a week, any 3 days from 7.**

**Job Summary**

The Kitchen Assistant role will assist in the day to day running of the Emma Bridgewater Café on our retail site in Stoke on Trent. This position will involve work in various areas of the kitchen including baking, food preparation and kitchen porter.

**Key duties and responsibilities**:

- Working with the chef to ensure that the kitchen functions efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
- The preparation of our Afternoon Tea’s and daily cake selection.
- Preparing food in accordance with the daily menu and Chef’s specials.
- Undertaking routine cleaning and washing of pots/dishes to ensure a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Assisting in meal service and ensuring a high level of customer service is given at all times.
- Adherence to Environment Health Laws and advice from the Local Officer.

**Other duties and responsibilities**:

- Displaying behaviour consistent with the personality of the business
- Conducting any other reasonable tasks as required by the business
- Undertaking training and development relevant to the role
- Working in a safe manner taking care for your own health and safety
- Ensuring your work environment is safe, clean and tidy

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: £10.90 per hour
