**Health and Safety Officer - Rhondda Cynon Taff - £45k Plus excellent benefits**

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing company who are experiencing significant growth at their site based in Rhondda Cynon Taff.

**Salary: £45k**

**Location: Rhondda Cynon Taff**

**Hours of work: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Thursday**

**8:00am - 2:30pm Friday**

**The role**:

- Develop and maintain Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policy and procedures.
- Compliance
- _Ensure compliance with all legal regulatory HSE requirements._
- _Ensure compliance with contract HSE requirements._
- Carrying out risk assessments and site inspections
- Conduct emergency response drills and routine checks on work activities of other departments.
- Conduct safety inductions and orientations.
- Explain WSH compliance requirements and work practices pertaining to employees' specific work process or area.
- Identify WSH non-compliance, unsafe work conditions and practices and report to Health and Safety Manager.
- Monitor effectiveness of implemented improvement actions.
- NEBOSH general certificate, or equivalent with previous experience of ISO14001 (EMS)
- Demonstrates Safety leadership.
- Possession of excellent communication skills and good leadership qualities
- Must be able to prioritize and multi-task in the face of many responsibilities/duties.
- Must possess a high level of problem-solving abilities with a good eye for detail.
- Must have experience in policy drafting/formulation and administration of safety policies.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of general safety guidelines (like Occupational Safety and Health guidelines) is essential.
