Operations Projects Supervisor
**Overview**

A brand-new role at Porta Romana to take on existing and new project work. Working with the Operations Manager to ensure continuous improvements are made to our processes and Customer Journey.

Quality is the priority across the whole business, and we are working to make efficiencies and improvements across multiple areas. You will work on projects to ensure that we are getting the best value from our makers and consumable suppliers. Developing new packaging and incorporating the customer journey into the production departments.

You need to be able to adapt to any situation with a positive and structured approach.

The customers’ expectations must be at the forefront of all decision making ensuring we remain focused on delivering a service Porta Romana can be proud of.

**Projects to include but not exhaustive are briefly detailed below**:
Quality
- Work alongside Customer service and the production teams to improve all aspects of service.
- Working with Goods in and Product development on QC guidelines and inspection packs
- Creating Unpacking instructions for the Customers to ensure product is not damaged after delivery
- Ensure all Fixing instructions are kept up to date and the components accompanying are of the top quality
- Work with Customer Service team to identify and improve packaging and Quality

Parameters across the whole business.
- Work on NCR and MRB processes implemented by QA Consultant are manageable and workable processes
- develop and work with Goods in team into regular day to day processes and meetings where required.
- Work with purchasing and if required visit suppliers to implement changes and improvements.
- You will be trained to level of signing off in QC area.

**Production Teams**
- OTIF- Working to make sure we despatch orders on time and in full
- work on process improvements to this on time figure.
- Annual Sale Process and operational planning.
- Ensure Stock accuracy by working and planning Stock takes, and Cycle counts with the Stores team.
- 5s’

**Packaging**
- Working with Operations manager review the packaging budget to ensure value for money on what we purchase. Get comparative quotes and build relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Develop new packaging with Despatch, External companies and use CAD technicians to develop and evolve existing packaging where required.

**New Product/ Product Development**
- Work with Product development on sign off new product and how Quality parameters and packaging plans can be met to meet deadlines.
- Ensure all new instructions are created prior to product launch.

**Process Improvements**
- Operations Process Improvements
- IT Improvements

**Time Management**
- Attend any necessary meetings ensuring they have a purpose including RMA, Change

Control etc.
- Holiday cover planning
- RMA/Product review and be instrumental in reducing complaints
- Provide holiday cover in all areas as required.

**Cost Savings**
- Review all processes and Products to identify cost/time savings or to simplify
- Work with all departments to ensure best practice.

**Environmental**
- Ensuring the environmental policies of the business are adhered to
- Providing ideas on how to reduce waste.
- Working with purchasing department to reduce/improve packaging.

**People**
- Ensuring all employees are engaged and fully communicated on day-to-day business.
- Ensuring you liaise with your Manager/HR on any issue prior to decision if you are unsure or unclear

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £32,000.00 per year
