An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hotel Receptionist to join our team for the summer (June-September). As the first point of contact for hotel guests, the Hotel Receptionist has a key role in maintaining the high level of service we strive for. This a busy and rewarding role, and would suit a personable and well organised individual who is passionate about customer service and committed to ensuring guest satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- To welcome and check-in guests in a friendly manner, making sure that all relevant information is given to the guest during the check-in process.
- To take payments for bookings when applicable.
- To help guests with carrying their luggage to the room if they need assistance.
- To assist guests with any queries throughout their stay, for example, places to eat, directions, booking taxis or any other questions they may have.
- To handle phone calls efficiently, whether it is booking a room for a guest over the phone or dealing with general enquiries.
- To ensure that all phone calls are directed to the correct person.
- To handle customer complaints promptly and professionally, demonstrating genuine customer care.
- To prepare Cleaning Reports for the following day.
- To keep the Night Room Return List up to date.
- To undertake other duties requested by management.

Key Skills:

- Friendly, informative, and approachable.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Efficient and confident with speaking on the phone and working with computers.
- Attention to details.
- ‘Can do’ attitude.
- Resilient and calm attitude when dealing with face-to-face complaints.
- Ability to use own initiative and problem solve.
- Flexibility.

Experience Required:

- Previous experience within Hospitality Reception. (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Experience of Reception systems, ideally Eviivo, although training will be provided.
