The role

What will I be doing?
Supporting both Production and Spares, your primary role will be preparing and painting aerospace components within a new and busy Paint facility. You will be trained to read and understand complex drawings, engineering layouts and procedures in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to specified requirements. There will be safe lifting and loading of the parts. All PPE will be provided and should be worn at all times. You will:

- Prepare, paint, and finish coating to aircraft parts and assemblies
- Touch-up paint where required
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve operational processes and internal customer satisfaction.
- Maintain high standards of 5's / housekeeping, while ensuring safe working practices
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and to determine need for adjustment or repairs.

What we're looking for

What do you need from me?
- Relevant experience in a Paint shop is essential for this role.
- The ability to use measuring equipment.
- Must be able to utilize and maintain painting equipment
- Must be physically capable of wearing a respirator. Training will be given for the correct usage and care of respirators.
- Prepares, paints, and finishes coatings
- Touch-up paint where required Shift work will be required on a 3-shift pattern. This will include:

- Dayshift
- Nightshift - Premium payment - 38.5% of salary
- Bridging shift - Premium payment - 39.75% of salary
