Trainee Machine Setter

**Title: Trainee Machine Setter / Trainee Line Technician**

Our client, a leading manufacturer & distributor, is looking to recruit a Trainee Machine Setter to work in their busy manufacturing facility.

Reporting in to the production manager, the key responsibilities are:

- Ensure all packing lines operate efficiently and products are packed to specification which meet customer requirements
- Ensure products meet our ISO quality standards
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
- Ensuring all Health & Safety policies are applied at all times

The duties will include:

- Set and change over packing lines to meet production requirements
- Carry out general maintenance, this will include duty rounds, preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Problem solving, optimising each bit of kit to achieve maximum output
- Operation of a selection of machinery
- Work with operators as part of a team to look at efficiency improvements
- Complete line setting sheets as necessary
- Ensure the line runs efficiently achieving maximum output daily
- Attend team brief meetings where all proactive issues affecting the department can be discussed

The working hours are on a 3 week rotation consisting of;
- WK1 - 0700 - 1900 Mon, Tues & Weds &
- WK2 - 1900 - 0700 Thurs, Fri & Sun
- WK3 - 1900 - 0700 Mon, Tues, Weds & Thurs

Full training will be provided
