**FUNCTION**

Procurement

**REPORTS TO**

Commercial Manager

**ROLE PURPOSE**
- Be a business partner for sales and operations within the procurement / commercial function.
- Source / appoint / manage and measure suppliers in line with agreed service levels (SLA’s) and business requirements.
- Provide ad hoc pricing as required to the sales department and overseas offices and update internal systems accordingly
- Deliver value by deploying best practice / best value carriers.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Strategic
- Run annual and ad hoc tenders as required
- Ensure utilisation of appointed carriers by operations
- Supplier Relationship Management - utilising and updating an SRM template

Deployment
- Carrier appointment
- Oversee supplier performance through Service Level Agreement creation / maintenance along with specific Key Performance Indicators

Management
- Promote efficiency and profitability by encouraging and facilitating a climate of best practice and quality throughout the supplier base / departments
- Develop and maintain standard tariffs for all traffic types (as required)
- Organise and attend Regular carrier meetings in line with the SRM
- Actively promote and maintain Group culture, style and standards within the company

Reporting
- Savings tracker to be completed monthly in line with budgeted savings
- Carrier forecasting and volume review (completed monthly) in line with the SRM
- Tracking KPI’s
