Coventry Airport Limited has an exciting new role for Ground Crew based in Coventry. The main purpose of the role is to be accountable for the safe, efficient and effective support for airfield operations including all activities that relate to Fire and Rescue, refuelling, handling and security. Reporting to the Senior Ground Crew, main key responsibilities will include;
1. To maintain a high level of airfield and apron safety, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and local management instructions, paying attention to ensure all work performed is conducted within Health and Safety guidance and relevant Codes of Practice of the Health and Safety at Work Act.
2. Participate in fire and rescue duties, following instructions from the Ground Crew Manager to ensure the effectiveness of the operation and to minimise damage to life and property.
3. Aircraft fuelling, manoeuvring and marshalling.
4. General maintenance, grass cutting, including use of pedestrian controlled motor mowers, FOD Boss and weed killing, etc.
5. The de-icing of walkways, aprons, taxiways, runways and aircraft.
6. Collecting Of landing Fees from Visiting Pilots
7. Driving and operating non-specialist vehicles and plant including basic maintenance of vehicles and plant, e.g. Bedford Plough/Sicard Brush.
8. Carry out any additional or alternative tasks as may from time to time be reasonably required by the Ground Crew Manager or Airport Operations Manager.
**SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE**:
**Essential Requirements**:
- Excellent customer service skills
- A Full UK driving Licence (must have)
- A genuine interest in General Aviation
The ability to pass the appropriate medical examination and fitness test
**Desirable Skills Include**:
- Previous experience of airfield operations
- Previous fire and rescue experience
- Previous aircraft fuelling experience
Full training will be given to the right applicant.
