Project Assistant
Are you a creative thinker with an interest in project management and implementing change? If so, you may be interested in a role as a Project assistant as part of the fees and projects team at the GMC.
The Fees project team deliver projects to improve the user experience for doctors who pay a fee to be registered with the GMC. They also help improve processes for the daily operational fees team, who manage and process payments from doctors on the Medical register.
As a Project assistant you’d be working on a range of different projects, providing organisational support to the fees projects team. You should be highly organised with an eye for detail and enjoy working with a range of different people across the business at all levels. You should be self motivated and proactive in your approach to work. As part of your role you’d coordinate and facilitate meetings and workshops, so must be a confident and clear communicator, with the ability to encourage discussion and champion continuous improvement.
It would be your responsibility to maintain the fees project planner to assist with the smooth running of all fees based projects. You’d provide support in capturing and logging project benefits, taking minutes during project meetings, chasing up outcomes and actions to ensure projects are delivered on time, and providing admin support. You will provide support in process mapping, reviewing and collecting data, as well as assisting with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) upon delivery of a new project.
This role is permanent with limited funding (until the end of 2025_ _as the role supports a temporary programme of work due to be completed at the end of 2025. If the funding is not made permanent at this point we will look to redeploy you into an alternative position). This position is based in Manchester city centre. This is a hybrid role with the requirement to be in the office twice a week, with the option to work from home for the remaining days. As an inclusive employer we offer flexible working.
